Opening an Agenda file
The first items in the Search dialog
offer you the first agenda file in the
default agenda directory
Press <Enter> to select this file or
to move through any other
agenda files in this directory.
Use <Tab> to find agenda files in
other directories.
You will be offered the last file
you searched in a subsequent search
Choosing the Search Type
Find All looks for all memos in a file.
Find Text looks for all memos
containing a given string in a file.
You will be offered the same string in
a subsequent search.
Anniversaries and repeated entries are
presented on their base date, and no
restriction on the range of dates is
supported.
Passwords
Global passwords may be set in the
search dialog. These are used to
decrypt memos both during text
searches and when displaying memos.
The option Use Previous will be given
in a search if a global password was
set in the previous search.
If a memo with a different password is
encountered a message will inform you
of this and the memo will be ignored in
text searches, and you will be prompted
for another password when displaying
the memo.
If you set Single passwords for each
memo during a text search it won't be
stored, and you will be prompted again
if you wish to display the memo.
If you set the wrong password when
setting single passwords then that memo
will be ignored during text searches or
you will fail to display the memo.
The results list
The results are displayed in three
fields, the date of the entry, the
entry type, and the entry title.
To-do's are shown on their due date if
they have one, or else on the date they
were first displayed or were crossed
out on as appropriate.
You can freely move up and down the
results list both during the search and
once it is finished. The title field
shows your current position within the
list.
to move up/down a line.
And Psion-
to move up/down
a whole screen once the search has been
completed.
Displaying the memo
Press <ENTER> to display the text
of the memo and <ESC> to return to the
results list.
You cannot alter the contents of the
memo in any way, just scroll and page
up and down the display window.
If you are reading a memo <CTRL>+<TAB>
will move you to the next memo in the
list and <SHIFT>+<CTRL>+<TAB> will move
you to the previous one. If that memo
is encrypted and you give the wrong
password you will stay at the current
memo.
Quitting
Psion-X will quit the application
at any time.
